Emergency Intervention Weekends:

People sometimes engage in self-destructive behavior, rejecting any assistance others may offer. An intervention, when done with great sensitivity and strong competency, is extremely effective in helping people to finally accept help.

Interventions address serious personal problems, including:

  • Alcohol and Drug Addiction
  • Compulsive Gambling
  • Sexual Addiction
  • Eating Disorders
  • Self-Destructive Behaviors
  • Personal, Marriage and Family Crisis
  • Depression and Suicidal Ideation
  • INTERVENTIONS AT HOPE RECOVERY CLINIC

An intervention is an orchestrated attempt by one, or often many, people (usually family and friends) to get someone to seek professional help with an addiction, some kind of traumatic event, crisis, or other serious problem. The term intervention is most often used when the traumatic event involves addiction to drugs or other items. Intervention can also refer to the act of using a technique within a therapy session.

Interventions have been used to address serious personal problems, including, but not limited to, alcoholism, compulsive gambling, drug abuse, compulsive eating and other eating disorders, self-mutilation, tobacco smoking, work-a-holism, and various types of poor personal health care. Interventions have also been conducted due to personal habits not as frequently considered seriously harmful, such as video game addiction, excessive computer use, and excessive television viewing.

At Hope Recovery Clinic, we believe that a holistic approach (integrating spirit, soul, and body) is key to long-term efficacy in addiction intervention and an intensive treatment recovery. Spiritual, mental, and physical wellness is necessary for the transition to a new way of life.

The attending staff psychologist for the intervention program is Paul F. Singh, MA, LP. Paul Singh and a support team will take 1-3 days to kindly and firmly help an addict to see their addictive lifestyle and the blind spots that are debilitating their life, relationships and many times their work.

Hope Recovery Clinic Interventions are designed to successfully achieve a breakthrough in the treatment of addiction. Paul Singh uses a time-tested (twenty-two year) holistic model that will help to dismantle the addict’s "wall of denial" about their addiction.

Along with the presenting addiction may be a mental health component that is called a "co-occurring disorder" also known as dual diagnosis. The goal of the intervention is to help clients see their need in getting the help they need to treat their addiction.

Hope Recovery Clinic also has an intensive outpatient treatment program to help the client in treating the co-occurring disorder after they have completed their inpatient recovery program.
